Cyber Literacy 2
Cyber Literacy 2 provides high school students with a venture into some advanced cyber engineering and cybersecurity topics. Building on information presented in Cyber Literacy, students continue to build more complex circuits, cybersecurity topics, and discuss autonomous devices and artificial intelligence. They also research and discuss the 4th Amendment to the US Constitution and debate current policy on privacy and rights to search and seizure.
The robotics platforms that are supported in the Cyber Literacy 2 course include the following Parallax devices: the BoeBot, ShieldBot with Arduino, and cyber:bot with micro:bit.
Using a robotics platform, students will engage in programming while investigating the impacts of technology and its uses. Students create, modify, and troubleshoot increasingly challenging activities as they learn particular programming languages.
Grades Levels: 9, 10, 11
Students research, investigate, debate, and develop opinions on topics related to personal privacy and security, constitutional protections, search and seizure protocols, cyberbullying, and digital citizenship.
